In the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours, Professor Alison Phipps was awarded an OBE for services to Education, and Intercultural and Interreligious Relations. This is a magnificent honour and well deserved recognition for Alison’s impressive achievements in these areas. She has demonstrated a huge personal and professional commitment and service to people who come to the United Kingdom seeking refuge and asylum.
As a founding member and former Chair of IALIC, Alison has led the way in developing intercultural communication and education through her impressive research activities and outputs, mentoring, and leadership. This is a great honour, and all of us in the IALIC community are delighted that you have achieved this recognition, Alison, and very proud of you. Congratulations and well done!
