The International Association for Languages and Intercultural Communication (IALIC) note with grave concern the announcement of egregious cuts to the #UKRI and #GCRF in particular. The implications of these cuts for the work of our colleagues in Low to Middle Income Countries is considerable, as is the potential consequence for open our drive for equitable global scholarship in our research and open access in our affiliated journal Language and Intercultural Communication.
